It's amazing how a child can change your life. From the time Jillan was born she came into this world marching to the beat of her own drum. She was so headstrong and always ready to do things her own way...if I told her to go right she was definatley going left with all of her might. There were days I would become so frustrated with her and I would feel like such a terrible parent. As her little personality began to emerge I made up my mind I was going to stop seeing just the negative in her and start focusing on all the special things about her. I feel like that's when our special little bond started. I started seeing her the way that she really was all along...So full of life, always ready to love anyone, so sensitive to the way others feel, never afraid to try something new, and doing everything with all of her might. It turns out that so many of her strengths were in areas that I was weak in...it made me realize that I needed to work on myself and do better in those areas. We think we bring children into the world to teach and form them into what they ought to be, but in all actuality they teach and form us as well. I'm feeling so blessed to be the mother of such a special child who is perfect just the way God made her :)
