I agree! I had a lot more luck researching online from bloggers doing home renovations. People who know their paint colors and can describe how it turned out on their walls. i.e.- I was looking for a neutral tan that doesn't have a pink, blue, or yellow undertone. We went with Benjamin moore's Revere Pewter in the kitchen and we love it!

I think it would be easier to find the Holy Grail! It's my parent's house- 3 bedrooms each with different exposures and lighting. In one room, everything looks good, the other, everything looks bad, and the third I think I need to wait for the afternoon sun! The blogs are great, and I have ordered some samples from what people have suggested. Revere Pewter is great! I might put in in the laundry room. So clean and refreshing. My kitchen needs for warm tones (which I'm now second guessing that color choice too!) At least ceilings are easy. White!
