Dad and I, 2011. This man and I have come a long way. He is sober 20 years this year. When you allow forgiveness to enter your heart, you are never the same. I'm so thankful for our relationship now and cherish every minute we have together. He's cared for my daughter from day one when no other man did. He's hilarious, an amazing Italian cook and has a sensitive heart. He makes my days better.

I made it through it all/ except for saying goodbye- that is coming but what a year. I've been planning this party for a year. It was a fantastic 2 weeks on so many levels- can't really put it all into words. I gotta work on that. But for now I am overflowing with gratefulness, joy, happiness and peace.
