Trying #ABeautifulMess--the current No. 1 top paid photo app. The differential factor from other apps is the embedded doodles/texts overlays with different colors. Options for filters and text fonts are very limited. You have to pay extra for more choices.

Bottom line: If you already have bunch of overlays or doodles and photo apps with dozens of filters and text fonts, you don’t need this app. But if you want convenience and don’t mind paying 99 cents to start out, it’s a good app to try.

Ok, so many people asked me how to make overlays that I had to figure out myself. I just doodled this with Picsart’s drawing function. Make sure to use a black background and white brush. And using a stylus to write or draw helps. Picsart offers several stroke designs with different levels of thickness, opacity and spacing.

By the way, I think there is a difference between doodles and overlays. The latter requires drawing skills which I don’t have. But I think this will give you some ideas how to create your own overlays, especially if you have drawing talent.
