Patterns on Michigan Avenue. (if you're trying to stay awake 😳, don't read the following.. you've been warned ⚠) Closeup of the Santa Fe building on Michigan Avenue. Designed by the the same architect who worked on the flatiron building in New York with Daniel Burnham. Burnham &Co had relocated their offices here, and today, continues to house several architectural firms. If you haven't stopped by, check out the lobby, off of Jackson, its impressive and has a scale model of Chicago. The iconic "Sante Fe" sign which has been part of our skyline aslong as I can remember, was unfortunately removed last year, and replaced with a "Motorola" sign.. oh Progress.. now that was sleep inducing 💤💤💤 ☕.. Well at least its midweek happy humpday. 👍

Yeah bud, they tape Family Feud in Atlanta, and they finally have Monday tapings. So, since we're off Mondays we're gonna go check it out! This will be my second game show I've attended, we were on The Price is Right last June. I'm absolutely chilling Memorial Day Weekend, maybe some Six Flags action but that's about it. Cheers George!!

Contrasts with tiltation. Yes, I realize tiltation is not a real word, but I'm going with it, it seems to fit. I needed a b & w after my colorful "flower" photo, my feed is still in shock, I'll have to ease into my next nature shot. 😉 Let's just say I took this photo after a late business lunch at the Park Grill, everything sort of looked tilted when we were done. Another Monday has found us all... and so it all begins. Commuters scurry to trains and offices via the labyrinth of hallways that connect these arteries to the main of heart Grand Central station in New York (or grand central terminal to your purists). the scale and size of this place truly makes you feel small, the terminal alone is 48 acres, and these hallways lights are 18 feet tall hanging from a 75 foot ceiling. I know, too much rambling before you've had your morning joe. ☕ Cheers.. lets hope for a speedy week.. and a longer weekend..

I used to work there a lot, and I was just going back to enjoy a long weekend unfortunately some unplanned events happened me stated longer and I spent a little bit of time in the hospital too. ⚠Warning⚠ Cheesiness ahead. "Onward through the weekend". Ceres (the roman god of agriculture and grain) and her trusty steed, but in this case her trusty toro. Taken at Chicago IG meet at the Garfield Park conservatory. This is one of two sculptures which were models for the 12 foot statues which once flanked the entrance of the agriculture building at the 1893 Worlds Columbian Exposition, the first of two worlds fairs in Chicago. It was a brilliant day in Chicago, I think spring might actually arrive, based today's weather, hope that was not a jinx. Enjoy your weekend.

Smile.. it's friday, would possibly be the most cheesy caption I could think of, but I cant even type that.. (yikes, I just did) But I do have a major grin on my face since the weekend is almost here. Taken last evening while walking to dinner.. The weight of the world on your shoulders... For some reason, this has been a reoccurring theme fir me, as of late. Hopefully, this too will pass.. Ok.. another tourist "like" photo, and I realize this has been shot like a bizillion times before. Taken at Rockefeller center (NYC), of the art deco inspired bronze "Atlas"... I know.. the similarities are uncanny.. but no, I did not pose for this statue.. 😂😂😂 plus it was created in the 30's.. Hope you all enjoyed your 48 hour plus break from me, personally.. Ok.. I have to warn you.. cheesy statement approaching...⚠🚧🚒 "Ready to cross the bridge to the weekend".... Sorry.. in fact i think i got a little nauseous typing that out.. without the gag reflex kicking in.. I know.. and its a HDR nature shot.. though I enjoy everyone else's nature shots / HDR shots.. i just cant master that..🔫 so shoot me..(wow.. that line formed quickly).. Hmmmm...whats for lunch? Contemplating art and lunch.. at the MoMA. Of all of Andy Warhol's work, to me nothing is more quintessential in my head as the Campbell's Soup cans (ok.. ok.. maryiln and mao are up there too). This group of thirty two cans were produced in the 60s.. when pop art was just making a mark.. it still makes me hungry today. Despite being a major foodie, i have phenomenal memories of being about five years old and having Campbell's tomato soup with a toasted cheese sammi..hmm good stuff.. With April here, it means only a few weeks left for ice skating at Rockefeller center. Several statues statues stand guard around the rink, the most famous is the gold statue of Prometheus (which this is not a photo of) Though the skating rink seems so synonymous with center, it was not part of the original plan. It was added later to draw more people into the center.. I know.. snoozefest... 💤💤 Fortunately for all of you, the photos of me depicting my incredible skating talents will not be shared on IG 😉.. ⚾⚾Looking up to a new season.... yes the cheese keeps flowing.. taken yesterday.... at opening day, despite it being 38 degrees.. and i was wearing my parka.. it was nice to start off with a win.. Blue sky mine... ok.. Not a great analogy.. Because other than the color, and the fact that tune has been stuck in my head for 2 days, the song has nothing to do with this photo... clever I am not.. Anyway.. somewhere around 48th and Madison (or Park Avenue).. i took out a trash can taking this "looking up" shot.. fortunately I was wearing my lacrosse shin pads.. Finally Friday, I've been waiting for this day since Monday morning... have a great weekend all. Cheers

Stuck in time.. an analogy.. for these statues as well as a few things going on in my life lately... plus chessey intro.. bonus!..😉 Taken at the Met, its one of my favorite places to get lost in as an adult. With a permanent collection of over 2 million items, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is the largest museum in the United states, and if your a kid, a great place to play "hide and seek", even though my parents were not so pleased with me at the time..Funny how things change.
