#jillianpiper1weekolder 83. She seems less like a baby and more like a little girl every day that passes. The drawer in our hall has become her toy hiding place and I caught her! She is so much fun at this age and I'm pretty sure she understands mostly everything were saying to her. #jillianpiper

We don't have a date we started dating, it kinda just happened as hanging out after class in college. We don't celebrate the date we made it "official" because we'd been boyfriend and girlfriend for like a year before that. We don't celebrate the date we got engaged, I don't even know when it was honestly. But today we are celebrating being married 6 years! Happy Anniversary Randall! (And we get to celebrate it with a cottage at crystal cove for the weekend without Jillian) I love who I get to share life with! God gives the best gifts! And what He has for us is always better than we could have ever imagined!

#flashbackfriday so the "lets make a deal" episode we were at a few months ago for my birthday airs next week! 11/19. Please don't watch it, I'm pretty sure you will see us and I think my brain shut off when they called my name! I'm not even sure the things I said. 🤔 it all happened so fast! But I would so so recommend seeing a taping to anyone in Southern California- we had so so much fun and it's FREE!

#jillianpiper1weekolder 81. This was a wild week. Her current obsession is saying "NO, No, no!!" To anything and everything and I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what it means. She is obsessed with Nemo (the fish) and Woody (from toy story) ... She also got sick this last week weirder than ever. I sometimes am unsure if I'm talking to her enough about God and stuff, but when she wasn't feeling good she called out for mommy and daddy and then for "bible" - that encouraged me so much! Luckily the stomach bug was short lived and she bounced back. She had her 18 month appt where the dr looked at me like I was crazy when I said she says like 100 words... I proceeded to ask if Disney characters counted or should I exclude them? ... I guess she talks a lot for 18 months. We got to take her to Disneyland and Harvest OC dressed up as Minnie on Halloween. The time change has not phased her, as in "what time change?! I rise with the sun" so we've been up early the last few days. Today she is being silly and we are starting to let her pick her own pajamas too... They both are pink-ish I guess and she wanted the pink shoes this morning so maybe she's good at matching? She's really a lot of fun! #jillianpiper

Ok this is a SILLY post. But I only today realized hey I get to set up another nursery. Don't know how that will fit in to the busy months ahead but I guess it has to happen. I was reflecting on what I liked and hated about jillian's room now that it's been awhile. I LOVE that I put a twin bed in there! It was the BEST idea ever. It's not like we had this prior, I actually ordered the low captains bed with drawers from Amazon. I used the bed 100x more than I used the rocking chair for feeding and reading. Plus the storage is great! No one has actually ever slept over night in the bed even. The 2 worst ideas were (1) putting the changing pad up against the crib... We kinda had to do this because of squeezing the bed in there but it was a terrible idea! I have to make sure nothing is ever left on it. We went thru a phase where she would stand up and throw it on the ground... Now it's attached to the dresser and she just pulls the cover off when she wants. The second (2) BAD idea was the book shelves made from spice racks from ikea. Seemed like a great idea... I have paint on the carpet from painting them (that wouldn't happen to everyone though) and they were so difficult to hang, the holes have to be perfectly the exact distance apart... There's a good size hole behind one that we didn't patch we just hung it over it. But the main reason I hate them is because she can see her books clearly from her crib and this actually distracts her from sleeping and she yells book book book unless there isn't one there. She doesn't yell that at the shelf of books across the room so maybe it may be more where I kinda permanently put them versus their existence.
Anyway, I'm kinda getting excited about doing another nursery... I think I'm gonna make Randall move the twin bed into the other room and we'll kinda change up jillians room too. I am sad to have to loose my office room... But soon enough we can put them in the same room too.
Anyone with littles - share your best and worst nursery idea/thing. I'd love more ideas and maybe someone else may be inspired too. Thanks!!

So glad #jillianpiper is all smiles this afternoon. Whatever stomach bug I had earlier this week, and desperately tried not to share, got the best of her yesterday and this morning. She was so much better today that I even went ahead and did her 18 month shots at her appointment she had today. She looks pretty happy! And back to being herself!

#jillianpiper1weekolder 80 #jillianpiper and her "meow" pumpkin... Yes it's a fox but she thinks it's a cat, she's been carrying it around since the weekend when we decorated it. Also pictured is her Christmas Minnie that is like always with her! She is really funny and she talks so much. I didn't know someone would be so interactive and fun at 18 months, I don't know what I expected... But I like who God gave us a lot😍

Didn't have a chance to post yesterday. This has been a busy week! It included #jillianpiper's first 2 funerals, a pumpkin patch, seeing lots of relatives, a couple trips to Baja fish taco and a big switchero on any routine we had going on prior to this week. She is at a phase now where she doesn't want her picture taken too.

So I shared that Randall started his Paleo blog @thatssoprimal - Well he was contacted by Marx foods (@marxfoods) to enter their insect recipe challenge.
He made SILKWORM spaghetti sauce!! Now I was NOT gonna eat this no matter what!! ... but it did smell good and He ate the whole plate!! 🐛🐛🍝🍝🐛🐛 Please go vote for his recipe on their site, just for fun! Link in profile. There's only this week to vote. I fear that if he wins their store credit he may force me to try bugs though😁🐛🐜🐌

We had a fun time getting away the last few days! I hadn't been to Catalina since I was a kid and Ensenada was umm different too. We did the 4 nite carnival cruise out of long beach and got a super good deal. If your looking for a fun getaway, and want to eat a lot you should look into it.
And thank you to those of you who were praying for us, our trip ended with Randall finding out today at work that he was not part of their company wide lay offs!🙌🙌🙌

#jillianpiper1weekolder 77 - #jillianpiper likes being Silly Jilly, Rigamarole says get outta my crate! I can't believe how big she's getting and how vocal she is and how hungry she is and how wild she is. But also how sweet and fun she is. I love her!

#jillianpiper1weekolder 76. #jillianpiper loves breakfast! She downs almost 2 pouches, then I can't get her eggs and bacon ready fast enough. She still doesn't use spoons or forks too well but she's getting there. I finally figured out that she can shower with me, this has been a fantastic change because I'm fitting in about 2 more showers a week! Lol She loves "baby boo" (monsters inc) more this week than last and she can't get enough of the movies. Which is fine because I was getting sick of curious George. I did watch lilo and stitch this week - I think we'll never watch it again even though she has a couple stitch toys... Movies are so different now when you filter them for a kid! We had 2 nights without her this last week and we crammed as many dates into that 60 hours as our wallets would allow. Which included a few Asahi rolls (don't tell my dr) and half a dozen sidecar doughnuts! And a movie- if you don't have kids see more movies before you do have kids!

I moved my memory verse all over the house over the past few days... But pregnant moms of one year olds spend a lot of time in the bathroom... It's one of the few places to hide plus baby # 2 is sitting on my bladder. I think I've got it memorized though! 😊 So it worked! @virtueforwomen

I feel like her vocabulary has multiplied this last week... But I feel like I'm the only one who fully understands her words.😜 we enjoyed a river trip this weekend, which included #jillianpiper's first time on the boat and she loved it. We are finally over the cold she had and the teething that she had going on. She's beginning to entertain herself with her toys so much, her toys - specifically Sully and Stitch and Minnie - know all her deepest darkest secrets... They must also speak her language. She loves reading also, and lift the flap books especially. I just love her so much.
