@erockaflockaflame you're a groomer!? SO! I've been asking all the groomers around here and they tell me that corgis don't get hair cuts and when I insisted my doggie turned two toned lol but other corgi owners have told me that they get their corgi hair cut .... thoughts?

Well, Corgis have double coats. Poodles and Shih Tzus have hair coats, that keep growing, so clipping them is fine. The hair will grow back the same. With a double coated breed, the guard hairs will grow out at the same rate as the undercoat... so the coat will sometimes end up choppy and multicolored as the undercoat is lighter. However, it should grow back normally after a shedding season. :) Personally, I clip my border collie down in the summer, and he's double coated. He seems much happier without pounds of thick hair, and I'm much happier without fur tumbleweeds rolling around my house! Lol it's all up to the owner. The more you shave her, the more likely it won't grow back the same. Doing it every summer should be fine! My friends Corgi just got shaved, he's so cute!!! His hair is growing back just as a mohawk at the moment. I've shaved Labs, Goldens, Aussies, Corgis and all sorts of double coated breeds. Groomers have to warn owners though, so they don't get mad at us if their coats grow back wonky. People get furious, even when you warn them!!!
