Today we launched our Giving Team. We rented out Cineplex to thank 100 children and their families who held fundraising events for #ronaldmcdonaldhouse in #calgary last year. These are the first members of our Giving Team and here are our volunteers ready to greet them

So this is Dennis. He is one of our Care Mobile drivers and a retired #fireman. Dennis & Doreen are going to volunteer to make dinners at #ronaldmcdonaldhouse for the families. After their orientation they noticed a family looking around the playroom for a shopping cart for there daughter. Dennis asked what they were doing. Their young daughter has had a problem with her balance and walking since she started her chemo. Dennis ran out to Toys R Us and bought this for the little girl. Doreen and Dennis spent the rest of the night assembling it for her. #calgary #alberta #canada #volunteer

Today's the 1st birthday for Canada's 1st and only Ronald McDonald CareMobile. Last week we helped 800 families in east #Calgary. In the 1st year: 2600+ families served,119 program dates offered, 1060 clinical hrs worked on the unit, 400+volunteer hrs,6475 kms driven,27 different communities &agencies served and 17 languages encountered #ronaldmcdonaldhouse

Today the #yycCareMobile was at the Milligan Ogden Community Carnival from 11-3. We saw 349 people, 21 got dental exams &got fluoride -33 saw the dietician for height/weight charting and nutrition sessions. Over 100 were referred to community doctors or clinics. These guys who made this brunch are a group of volunteers who help us in quite a few different ways-one of them is they make brunch for our families regularly. When you meet some of the families we do it is hard not to want to bring your A game to work every day
