My idea of healthy fats! Avocado and Salmon

Some websites will list nutritional info in 1oz (1/5th of an avacado); or in volume measurements like one cup, etc. how much you can eat in a day depends on your diet. 45 to 65 percent of your daily calories from carbohydrates
10 to 35 percent of your daily calories should come from protein 20 to 35 percent of your daily calories. Based on a 2,000-calorie diet, you should consume between 44 and 78 g of fat daily. Fat is found in meat, poultry, fish, dairy, oils, butters, salad dressings, nuts and grains. So you could potentially one or even two per day depending on where you are getting your other fats intake from.

This pic is very deceiving.I think both of them exercise, it takes hard work to maintain both figures. I work out and eat right, but I don't have a muscular body. That's my preference for myself, that doesn't mean I don't kick butt at the gym

@beautyfly2 it doesn't have much of a flavor on its own. It takes the flavor of what you put it in. It's moreso a texture thing for me. Kinda the same texture as cheese. I love it...I say try it ^-^

Many of you asked how to make tofu crispy. Here's what I like to do. The brand I prefer is Azumaya, it comes in a 16oz container. I slice into 5 equal servings, pat dry with paper towel. Then on non stick pan heat about 1.5 tbsp coconut oil to medium heat. Cook tofu slices 6-7 minutes on each side. Pretty simple. I'll post my Asian Lettuce Wraps with tofu tonight . Tofu from Safeway and coconut oil from Trader Joes.

Great breakfast for a pre-work out, full of long lasting energy. Museli, sliced banana, strawberries and kiwi. I had it with Almond milk.
Muesili is uncooked rolled oats, dried fruit and nuts (mine was from Costco, but you can find it at most health food stores like Whole Foods and even Trader Joe’s)

Starting my weekend with a green smoothie.
2 cups spinach, handful of strawberries, half banana, 1 kiwi, 1 tbsp milled flaxseed and 1.5 cups green tea. (I always have brewed green tea in the fridge. Do not add hot tea to your smoothies. Use any brand you like , I like Tazo)

To answer a few questions from yesterday's post.
Proof that yesterday's stuff bell pepper with egg and quinoa was in fact cooked. It really surprised me that some people thought I was eating it raw. The recipe is on my previous post.
Quick tip to cook Quinoa - 1/2 cup quinoa 1 cup water. Bring to boil and turn gear on low, cover and cook 15 mins. You can also use broth for more flavor.
Quinoa is whole grain, you can sub for rice, it's gluten free, low glycemic and provides all 8 essential amino acids creating a complete protein. Considered a SUPERFOOD

Supplies needed for fruit infused water:
Fruit- Whatever kind you like (except bananas), make sure its good and ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor. Use all kinds of citrus and berries. Pineappl and watermelon work well for flavoring water.
Herbs- These are optional, but many herbs are a surprising compliment to fruit flavors. Almost any herb will work depending on your personal preference.
Jars or pitchers- Use 2 quart mason jars primarily, but any 2 quart pitcher will do.
Muddler or wooden spoon for mashing fruit and herbs.
Directions: Mash Fruit and herbs with wooden spoon, add ice then water. I would suggest letting sit at least an hour for full flavor. I found these instructions online.
