Bon Voyage Kazia - the birthday/goodbye cake I made for my daughter who leaves for South Africa for a year tomorrow - will miss her so much but excited for her & glad she gets this opportunity to be with her dad :) we only want the best for our children but letting go & watching them from a distance is so hard to do!

Day 2 in bed with the most horrendous migraine/pain in the back of my skull - started Sunday night - 3 different types of painkillers later & 2 days off work - I think the pain is just about subsiding - feels like somebody tried to bash my head in! So bored but at least I can finally focus to read for a while now :)

Pink Samurai Power Rangers - made this outfit & bought the mask for a friend's little girl - it was all she wanted for her birthday in July & all she'd asked for at Christmas - her mum couldn't find one to fit so I made this! Haven't had so much fun since my girls were little & into dressing up! Finally finished it on Christmas Eve - made me late with all my other preparations but it was worth it to know she was one happy little girl Christmas morning!!

We have two trees - a white & silver in one room & a multi coloured & gold in our living room - they both look beautiful to me - each in their own way - makes me think of how God sees us - each individually crafted - each unique & different year by year - sometimes losing things we'd rather keep - sometimes gaining things we'd rather not - but each crafted lovingly & caringly & perfect in the eye of our maker. I know some (perhaps a lot) of you won't share my sentiments but know that you are loved & appreciated individually & never look down on yourself! My New Year resolution - positive self attitude!!

Sad to put them all away for another year but I wouldn't want it any other way - I have never lost the wonder & excitement of Christmas - remembering why I personally celebrate it & giving thanks for the blessings God has bestowed on me & mine throughout the year. It's not all been good but I know I am blessed with many people & things to be thankful for.
