I'd like to share a story with my fellow IGers in hopes to reach out to as many of you as possible. I want to spread the awareness of an awful disease called #LUPUS! 💜
In September of 2012 I was diagnosed with Lupus. For those of you who don't what Lupus is, it's a chronic autoimmune disorder that can attack any organ of the body (heart, kidneys, brain, etc.) A quick & easy way of describing this yucky disease is basically my body attacks itself. My body doesn't know right from wrong as far as my organs, blood cells, & tissue goes. Rather then only attacking the bad guys, my body also attacks the good guys. It's as if my body is killing itself. 😣 The cause of this disease is unknown & unfortunately there isn't a cure for it. Lupus is a livable disease, however it can also be very deadly. 😥 💔 It clearly varies on every Lupus patient. There are a wide range of side affects. I suffer joint pain on the daily basis. I feel tired most of the time, & I'm not as active as I once was. My side affects are endless. Any where from no appetite to no energy! This disease has affected my every day life. I'm often asked, "How are you feeling today?" How do I answer that question if I no longer know what "normal" feels like? 🙍 With this being said, please take a moment & thank the man up above for your health. 🙏 Don't take it for granted! Spread the word & help me share with everyone the #Awareness of #Lupus! #May#LupusAwarnessMonth

Wow I had no idea! That is sad.. Last time I went (which was about 8 yrs ago) the lago de Chapala was so beautiful and full. It looked like a rainforest.

@lulu_bear_ I don't recall seeing anything rain forest like. The water is so low out there. Ppl were able to stand pretty "deep" into the lake. 😕 They have some type of construction going on in the water to help it in some way. I don't know the exact details, but they're trying to save the lake.
