@iamtomchang Hum, I guess it might be a little touchy subject, Tom. I don't know his real intention behind Freedom Tower though, I found his comment on NBC news site, originally quoted from NY Daily News : Sharp rebuke "According to the New York Daily News, the name change for the 102-story drew a sharp rebuke from former Gov. George Pataki, whose April 24, 2003, speech gave the building its brand. "The Freedom Tower is not simply another piece of real estate and not just a name for marketing purposes," Pataki said. "In design and name, it is symbolic of our commitment to rise above the attacks of Sept. 11. Where 1 and 2 World Trade Center once stood, there will be a memorial with two voids to honor the heroes we lost — and, in my view, those addresses should never be used again."" Beyond/without his political point of view, I think his idea is noble and feel empathy of it to say the least. I guess you know the background story about this more than I do, so I'd be grateful if you would tell me your point of view. Have a nice day!!✨👋☺👍✨

Gov. Pataki did not have authority in naming the structure and by using the term "Freedom Tower," he inadvertently caused this confusion. It was never officially coined, deemed, nor named as "Freedom Tower" other than what came out of Pataki's mouth that day. On March 30, 2009, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed that the building will be known by its legal name, One World Trade Center, rather than the colloquial name, Freedom Tower.

@iamtomchang yeah, i know that. it's officially 1 world trade center, and it was used before. It's really a confusion even on IG cuz freedomtower tag is more popular than oneworldtradecenter or 1wtc tag lol I heard That using 1wtc is more practical reason, but ironically freedom tower remains people's mind more.

@yellowhook8646 and that's a real shame because not only is it incorrect, it takes away from a wonderful piece of architecture in Miami that is truly named Freedom Tower.

Oh well, this is the first Weekly Hashtag Project entry… #WHPmotherlylove :
This is my mom at the Brooklyn Bridge today. The photo was taken about 2 years ago at my brother's wedding. It takes 2 hours for her to get dressed everyday… She is still fine, but she may not be able to visit New York again. One day she told me, "I'm fine, you and your brother help me get dressed everyday. You are always right next to me". I couldn't listen to her without tears. So I decided to carry this photo everyday so that she can walk in the city with me where my parents started their married life. - You are always with me, mom. Happy Mother's Day!
